Living Proof

Ladybird means success in life

Nicky Wright started school aged two and a half in September 1991. In 2006 she returned with her mother to look back across the 14 years since she left.

In a note to our principal, Nicki Parish, she said:

Nicky Wright before and after

It is hard to believe that a nursery can make such a difference to the person you become, but I can honestly say that Ladybird did this. Nicki showed us that being honest, caring and generous were some of the best qualities to have and I learnt this in the best possible atmosphere, where each pupil is not just a face, but a child who is well looked after and is well-known by the other pupils and teachers. I have so many amazing memories from Montessori, which I hope will be with me for a very long time to come.

Nicola is head-girl at a senior school, training for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, before going to Imperial College in London to study engineering.

Alexander Yap

From Ladybird to the Royal Ballet School in London. Did we find the next Nureyev?

Alexander Elliot Yap started at the school in September 1998. Here he learned his first music and movement.

Already, not yet eleven, he has had three parts with the Royal Ballet, competed in the UK Chess Challenge for under-nines, and played at the North London Festival for Music and Drama for Piano 2006.

Alexander says:

I want to be the next Nureyev. Ladybird certainly laid the foundations for me.

What the parents say about us

Dear Nicki, Clara, Nancy, Janet and Olga,

ShrinidiWe cannot believe that it is time for Shrinidi to say goodbye to Ladybird Montessori. Shrinidi has received a wonderful kick-start to her schooling here at Ladybird.

How shy she was initially and how long it took her to open up has become a distant blur now. Shrinidi has blossomed into a confident and friendly child thanks to her Ladybird experience.

More importantly we have seen how loving and caring all five of you have been. We could see how safe and cosy Shrinidi has been over the last two years.

The exposure you have given her in language, maths, worldview, play and social skills has been outstanding. I will remember with fond memories the Diwali presentations I had a chance to make.

Thank you teachers for the fantastic start you have provided for Shrinidi’s schooling.

With all good wishes Raji and Satish Ramakrishna

Ladybird Life Skills Success

Andrew Ng joined Ladybird in 1990. In early 2007 he came back to say thank you to principal Nicki Parish.

He is currently back in England from the bank at which he now works, as part of a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Western Australia.

He says:

Andrew Ng before and after

Ladybird Montessori School provides an environment conducive for creativity and learning. The devoted and experienced staff encourage children to unlock their potential through a well-rounded programme. I have had many a happy childhood memory in Ladybird Montessori School. My time there equipped me with the basic skills to pursue my future goals, providing me with a foundation upon which to build success. I am most grateful to the school and would highly recommend it.
